PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The “Go-Anywhere” Commode ‘n Shower Chair SP® consists of a rolling frame / seat assembly used to transport the user from his or her bed to over a commode and / or into a roll-in shower.  The 20”-diameter wheels render the chair propel-able by its occupant.  The 20" wheels may be ordered as front-wheel drive (mounted on the front) or as rear-wheel drive (mounted on the rear).  Placement of the larger-diameter wheels on the front may enhance maneuverability while, at the same time, minimizing conflicts with environmental factors including commodes, walls, etc.  The 20" wheels may be relocated from front-to-rear and vice-versa without significant effort using an allen wrench and 7/16" crescent or socket wrench. NOTE: Although hand brakes do appear in some of the photos, they are no longer provided because they interfere with the user's ability to push the wheels.  The caster locks are adequate to stabilize the chair and should be reachable by the average user.

The Go-Anywhere Chair SP® is equally suited for use at home and "on the road". Although it was designed to meet the need of the disabled traveler, the Go-Anywhere Chair SP® is the ideal commode and shower chair for use at home, too.  Eliminate the need for costly bathroom renovations. Just as a wheelchair must be comfortable, so must a commode/shower chair.  That is why the “Go-Anywhere” Chair SP® was designed to be as versatile as possible.   With a maximum width of just 23”, the “Go-Anywhere SP” may even pass through narrow doorways.  Footrest heights are adjustable to suit the needs of each individual.  By shortening the rear legs, the seat may be leaned back providing additional comfort and stability for those having limited balance and/or upper body control.  The camber built into the legs ensures the overall stability of the chair even with rear lean.

LIMITATIONS:

The “Go-Anywhere” Chair SP® is not designed for use on surfaces having more than one plane, i.e.: it is not intended to be moved up or down steps or over curbs. This product has been designed and tested only under conditions wherein all four wheels maintain coincidental contact with the horizontal surface beneath it. If thresholds, shower curbs or barriers are encountered that exceed ½” in height, the area in question should be brought within the code for disability accessibility as specified by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The “Go-Anywhere” Chair SP® has been designed and successfully tested for use by persons NOT exceeding 250 pounds. This product is NOT intended for use by persons exceeding 250 pounds.
